Position Summary:


The Finance and Commercial Manager is a member of the Category Management team primarily responsible for supporting the Vice President of Category Management.

This position utilizes strong accounting, financial reporting, and analytical skills to support the Category Management business.


Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Partner with the business in the development and administration of department's annual budget and quarterly forecasting
  • Create and deliver timely and accurate accounting and reporting. Prepare internal financial management reports, operational results, customer and item profitability analysis, and provide decision support
  • Develop and support process improvements and ensure proper internal controls
  • Maintain business cost centers and validate inputs into correct cost centers for expenses and savings projects
  • Develop pricing strategy and item pricing process to provide price updates to Master Data Management team
  • Manage pricing for items across customers and resolve any pricing issues with help from Category Management team
  • Prepare and communicate pricing based on supplier and customer contracts
  • Follow up on any outstanding customer invoicing and pricing issues
  • Help resolve vendor payment issues and approve vendor invoices for supply chain services
  • Collect data from global locations periodically to generate reports and facilitate Category Managers
  • Track item level inventory across locations to assess cost of capital and storage for product costing
  • Collect various cost components from freight, warehousing, and suppliers to update the inventory costs. Work with Risk Management team to update inventory valuation across locations
  • Monitor commodity and forex changes to evaluate price adjustments across product portfolio
  • Adjust item pricing based on index and other cost drivers and communicate pricing to the Master Data Management team in a timely manner
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or another related field, with a minimum of 6 years of accounting and/or financial analysis management experience
  • General knowledge of finance, US GAAP accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
  • Broad skillset in financial analysis and financial modeling, including an understanding of a P&L, balance sheet, working capital, and other related financial information
  • Ability to create senior management level presentations and analyses
  • Strong business acumen and experience partnering with business leaders
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, exceptional problemsolving skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Experience leading, managing & influencing others at all levels within an organization
  • Ability to work collaboratively and crossfunctionally
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new concepts
  • Ability to understand, develop and refine processes
  • Ability to function effectively under pressure, multitask, and be a selfstarter
  • Limited travel as necessary (10%)
  • This position must pass a postoffer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:


  • Experience in Supply Chain areas in Food Services, Consumer Packaged Goods or Manufacturing
  • MBA (Finance), CPA, or CMA preferred
  • Experience with JD Edwards 9.2 ERP, Microsoft PowerBI, OneStream
