OverviewThe Supervisor of the Cath Lab is accountable for the supervision and performance of the Cath Lab daily operations, patient throughput, education, inventory management and ensuring compliance with standards of care for the designated service line (coronary, peripheral, EP, neuro, and trauma). Responsible for other duties delegated from the Director of the Cath Lab.

Responsibilities+ Assists in management of day to day operations of the Cath Lab including patient throughput, collaboration with physicians and the cath lab patient schedule.+ Assists in hiring, evaluating, performing disciplinary action, and coaching of the staff in conjunction with the Director of the Cath Lab.+ Responsible for staff education, including orientation and ongoing education to ensure competent, safe patient care.+ Works with external business partners to collaborate case support and team training.+ Responsible for ensuring properly functioning equipment and adequate supplies.+ Identifies opportunities for improvement and communicates via occurrence reports or direct communication with the Leadership Team.+ Participates in policy creation and/or revisions and staff compliance with the policies.+ Ensures quality control processes are completed per Lab and regulatory requirements.+ Collaborates with Director of the Cath Lab on budget, new capital equipment planning and achieving productivity standards.+ Serves as a role model to staff by daily participation in cardiac cath and IR cases and post cath/IR recovery of patients.+ Participation on accreditation teams or other hospital committees.+ Assists in call response as needed.
Qualifications*Required Education and Experience
+ RN license or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist or Graduate of an accredited institution of Radiology Technology.+ Minimum of three (3) years of Cath Lab experienceRequired Licensure and Certifications
+ Registered Nurse (RN)Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
