- Assists in management of day to day operations of the Cath Lab including patient throughput, collaboration with physicians and the cath lab patient schedule.
- Assists in hiring, evaluating, performing disciplinary action, and coaching of the staff in conjunction with the Director of the Cath Lab.
- Responsible for staff education, including orientation and ongoing education to ensure competent, safe patient care.
- Works with external business partners to collaborate case support and team training.
- Responsible for ensuring properly functioning equipment and adequate supplies.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and communicates via occurrence reports or direct communication with the Leadership Team.
- Participates in policy creation and/or revisions and staff compliance with the policies.
- Ensures quality control processes are completed per Lab and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborates with Director of the Cath Lab on budget, new capital equipment planning and achieving productivity standards.
- Serves as a role model to staff by daily participation in cardiac cath and IR cases and post cath/IR recovery of patients.
- Participation on accreditation teams or other hospital committees.
- Assists in call response as needed.
- RN license or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist or Graduate of an accredited institution of Radiology Technology.
- Minimum of three (3) years of Cath Lab experience
