Marks, O'Neill, O'Brien, Doherty & Kelly a Premier Law Firm in Philadelphia Is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting Team,


Duties:


  • Perform daily tasks related to accounts receivable, including invoicing, posting payments, and reconciling customer accounts.
  • Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and assist with resolving any billing issues or discrepancies.
  • Utilize accounting software (such as PeopleSoft) to input and maintain accurate financial data.
  • Analyze customer payment trends and identify potential collection issues.
  • Collaborate with the corporate accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of accounts receivable information.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements related to accounts receivable.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts receivable role, preferably in a corporate or governmental accounting setting.
  • Proficient in using accounting software.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and ability to analyze financial data.
  • Experience with medical collections is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills for interacting with customers regarding payment matters.
