Summary:
Performs office administrative support functions and provides assistance in the daily operations of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department.


Responsibilities:


  • Provides administrative support to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Danbury Hospital. Performs a wide variety of office tasks including record keeping and written & verbal communication.
  • Primary Payroll timekeeper, maintains accurate work templates and produces related reports for the department.
  • Compiles statistics related to financial data, compliance and performance improvement. Creates reports to manager and supervisors. Enters data and uploads to reporting systems required by regulatory agencies and third-party payers.
  • Processes purchase requisition for department office supplies and clinical equipment. Maintains department inventory.
  • Processes requests, invoices and contracts related to services, maintenance and repair.
  • Provides communication to both internal & external customers, including patients' schedule changes and medical record requests.
  • Schedules appointments/meetings for department. Arranges & distributes the agenda & other documentation to assist management in holding meetings. Coordinates conference room support as needed.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
