- Reviewing on-orbit health performance
- Provide Input to operational procedures and documentation
- Reviewing of operational database modification
- Provide technical guidance on modifications to Fault detection and correction systems
- Providing training for flight operations team
- Providing anomaly resolution support
- Acting as OCI subject matter expert
- Close out of OCI flight development program
- Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 20+ years of experience in aerospace/space related Systems Engineering
- Demonstrated broad knowledge, capabilities, and practices related to the design, development, characterization, and application of scientific measurement and instrument systems used on space vehicles, aircraft payloads, experiments, ground test equipment, and test facilities.
- Ability to select and test appropriate measurement sensors for the various applications and integrate these sensors into larger subsystems. Includes knowledge of, and capability to perform, research and development of new, advanced, and unique measuring sensors for both flight and ground instrumentation systems in the areas of temperature, pressure, vacuum, vibration, position, displacement, acceleration, mass spectroscopy, heat flux, flow, optical spectrometry and strain.
- Manages cost, schedule and staff associated with scientific instrument development.
- Generates reporting for presentation to Project Managers and GSFC Managers. In consultation with instrument systems engineering team, responsible for fulfilling technical requirements associated with instrument.
- Responsible for reporting instrument level risks.

Intuitive Machines is a Joint Venture owner under Space & Technology Solutions of the NASA Goddard OMES III contract. Intuitive Machines STS is seeking a highly motivated OCI Instrument Systems Engineer to join the team located in Greenbelt Maryland. OMES III is an Engineering Services Contract the covers many directorates and projects including NExIS, OSAM-1, JPSS, LEO and more.
