    Description

    My client who is a leading Fortune 500 integrated retail electricity and power generation company is seeking a Senior Manager of Transmission Trading to join the team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the power and energy markets (FOCUS ON PJM), with knowledge of transmission trading.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Keeping track of the short, mid and long term nodal positions
    • Manage a profitable trading book
    • Utilizing knowledge of the power markets to develop and execute various trading strategies
    • Maintain net positive savings from start value and delivery costs
    • Develop innovative structured transactions tailored to mitigate risk, enhance profitability, and capitalize on market inefficiencies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10+ years of TOTAL working or school experience in a relevant market
    • Strong technical, mathematical, and econometric ability (Python, AURORA, PROMOD, other relevant software's)
    • FTR, CRR, Nodal trading or trade analysis experience (heavy focus on PJM)
