This role suits an individual who enjoys working collaboratively with Engineers and Architects to create holistic solutions incorporating a wide range of systems and technologies and who brings creativity to the solutioning process. You will work closely with other Engineers with specialized skills while cross-training within core technologies.

Note: this position is not available for corp-to-corp.

Focus:

Create network engineering solutions and designs within defined standards or propose new standards when required, ensuring holistic integration within larger solutions.
Develop strategies and roadmaps in close collaboration with cross-functional architecture teams to support the introduction and continuous improvement of next-generation network and firewall systems.
Actively develop a Software Defined Networking (SDN) model and introduce SDN automation solutions across Cloud, LAN, WAN, and Wireless platforms.
Collaborate with Networking Operations teams to introduce AiNetOps into existing network platforms and future SDN platforms.
Design and implement roadmap implementation projects, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and operations teams.
Maintain awareness of Operations activities through regular communication and attendance at update meetings.
Proactively seek out opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes, proposing improvement activities.
Incorporate security-by-design into all solutions, ensuring concurrent consideration of security requirements and technical requirements.
Provide SME support to operations teams as an escalation point for P1/P2 incident resolution.
Liaise with 3rd-party vendors to create engineering solutions and continuous improvement proposals.
Collaborate with Architects to propose, review, and implement new standards and technologies.
Carry out continuous personal development to keep technical skills up-to-date and gain and improve non-technical skills.
Develop cross-functional technical knowledge to enable holistic thinking during design processes.
Conduct technical reviews of change requests and designs created by other teams and analyze RCAs and design action plans in collaboration with Operations teams.

Skill Set:

Extensive experience in implementing and developing vendor-agnostic Next Gen Software Defined Networking platforms and Network Automation across Cloud (Azure), WAN, LAN, and Wireless environments. CCNP Certification.
Experience in working with stakeholders to define requirements, select technologies, design, and introduce SASE, ZTN, and Secure Web Gateway solutions.
Strong knowledge and demonstrable experience in data center and campus networking technologies including Cisco (routing, switching, firewalls), Palo Alto (Next Gen firewalls), Azure Cloud Networking, MPLS, and encryption methods.
Ability to carry out requirements analysis and create detailed engineering solution designs using Visio.
Proficient in developing technology roadmaps informed by strategic directives.
Experience in providing engineering expertise to Operations teams in support of incident and request resolution.
Ability to create low-level implementation and build documentation.
