Position

The Director of Operations will have responsibility for the operations of three MB Business Units in Chilton and New Holstein, Wisconsin.

This includes production planning and organizing the workflow for the operations resulting in high quality products and a safe environment in the plant.

This role drives cost efficiency throughout the operations team and works closely with the quality, engineering, and supply chain team.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct and coordinate the manufacturing of products and parts in compliance with company goals and objectives
Oversee a workforce of union employees in the manufacturing department
Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and mínimal downtime
Investigate and analyze current manufacturing processes
Develop and implement strategies to maximize efficiency for the use of material, machinery and employees
Lead the continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines
Plan, implement and control annual budgets

Job Skills

Experience in leading manufacturing organizations
Knowledge in manufacturing processes (fabrication, welding, painting, assembly)
Knowledge in lean manufacturing methodology
Strong verbal and written communication skills addressing different levels (shop floor up to Executive Management)
Ability to learn and keep up with product knowledge
Ability to multitask and stay organized
Set ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel
Provide motivation, support and guidance to all employees

Qualifications

510 years experience in manufacturing environment, preferably large product assembly
4+ years' experience in a supervisory capacity including in a union environment is preferred
