- Night physicians will provide support to APPs who will cover patients at both locations.
- Our Nocturnists primarily cover Parkview Medical Center (370 beds).
- Closed ICU. Fully staffed ER. ICU is staffed with fellows/residents. No in-house ICU attending but fellows run it.
- EPIC EMR utilized system-wide.

- Procedures are not required but physicians are able to do them if they have the clearance to do so. House staff is usually covering the emergent needs, but Hospitalists are to report to codes and rapids to assist and oversee transition of care.
- Census: APP provides cross coverage. They are addressing about 100 patients per night.
- Average is about at Parkview Main and only about 20 or so at Pueblo West Hospital.
- Currently, Nocturnists see any cross coverage that arises, ICU transfers, plus 7-10 admits.
- Nocturnist physicians are expected to provide medical care to assigned patient population, maintain timely and appropriate documentation of such care, and actively participate in medical staff duties.

- The pay range for this full-time position is $252,000-$280,000/annually . If applicable, a quality and/or productivity bonus may be offered.

From its inception in 1923, Parkview Medical Center has provided millions of dollars in charity care to our community and in fiscal 2022, this important work continued. Parkview has one of the highest percentages of Medicare and Medicaid in the state at 80%.
Parkview considers itself an integral part of Pueblo and southern Colorado. Our success can be directly attributed to an outstanding governing board. Parkview Board Members define themselves as Pueblo citizens first and Parkview Board Members second. Maintaining this independence allows the Board and Leadership the ability to prioritize key decisions and commit resources based on the needs of our community.
Beyond the millions in charity care provided every year, Parkview continues work to enhance our medical facilities. Construction is complete on the new Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center. This facility is located on the main campus and will house Parkview Radiation Oncology, Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers and the Parkview Breast Health Center. It provides a truly complete approach to cancer treatment for our community and the surrounding counties in one centralized location. Construction is complete on our new state-of-the-art orthopedic hospital in Pueblo West. That facility offers the latest high-tech robotic surgical techniques focus on our expanding orthopedic and rehabilitation programs. Both opened in fall of 2022.
As the region s largest private employer with nearly 3,000 outstanding individuals, Parkview continues to strategically grow. Parkview s Internal Medicine Residency continues to produce top quality physicians. This program was designed to attract and retain much-needed physicians to our region and our success has been outstanding. Additionally, we currently offer fellowships in Gastroenterology, Pulmonary/Critical Care and Cardiology.
