Seeking a Family Law Attorney in the Sacramento Region with at least 5 years of Experience in Family Law Litigation


Our law firm is seeking a work-from-home family law attorney with a minimum of five years of family law experience, who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law and who is able to commute to local court houses in Placer, Sacramento, Yolo, and El Dorado counties.


Applicants should be equally familiar with divorce, parentage and custody and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations.

Responsibilities:


  • Communicate with senior attorneys and paralegals to effectively move through the litigation process
  • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
  • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
  • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
  • Appearances for Hearings or Trial via Zoom and In Person
  • Representation: Counseling and representing clients through depositions, hearings, mediation, and trials
  • Hearing Preparation: Prepare Requests for Orders, Motions, Declarations, Memorandum of Points and Authorities, and other necessary pleadings
  • Perform Financial and

Strategic Analysis:
Prepare Dissomaster Calculations and Propertizer Reports

  • Prepare and Serve Discovery Requests including Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, and Requests for the Production of Documents. Assist clients in responding to discovery requests as listed above
  • Trial Preparation from

Case Inception:
Keep Important Dates and Facts Organized, Align Exhibits to Prove Facts, Prepare Mandatory Settlement Conference Statement, Prepare Trial Brief, Preparation of opening/closing statements, and direct/cross-examination

  • Prepare Prenuptial Agreements and Postnuptial Agreements, Stipulations, and Stipulated Judgments

Experience in the Following Areas:


  • Divorce, annulment, legal separation
  • Domestic Violence restraining orders
  • Child support and alimony
  • Custody arrangements and visitation rights of parents
  • Modifications of custody or support
  • Pre
- and post-nuptial agreements


Qualifications:


  • Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Five or more years family law litigation experience that includes extensive legal research and high quality legal writing
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills including strong presentation skills.

Compensation:

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
