full-time Business Development Specialist/Marketing Supervisor in our
Houston, TX office.

Our experience includes hundreds of stream & wetland restoration projects, design & construction, development of regional curves and reference reach data sets and monitoring of past projects to continually advance the science for Environmental Services.

Our environmental planning services assist federal, state, municipal organizations, and private clients with their regulatory compliance needs. We have extensive experience with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and related state regulations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Targeted searches for RFP's, RFQ's, etc., for the firm to respond to.
  • Manage proposal production and coordination across multiple offices.
  • Develop and maintain marketing materials, information systems, tracking systems and records.
  • Perform research on prospective clients.
  • Work with presentation members, coaching them, and assisting with preparation of information they may be needed to answer client questions.
  • Maintain the professional resumes of firm personnel.
  • Develop and standardize formats of all proposals, resumes, and project descriptions of the firm. Prepare graphics for proposals and presentations.
  • Propose and manage marketing budget.
  • Update and maintain firm's website. If major edits are needed, draft proposals to submit to design firms and conduct search for appropriate design firm to design new website.
  • Writing, word processing, typing, editing and manipulation of information (letters, proposals, brochures and other marketing materials).
  • Develop and place advertising materials.
  • Write and place press releases.
  • Coordinate firm attendance of trade shows (booth) and purchase of promotional supplies. Creates/designs/coordinates new display booth graphics as needed.
  • Coordinate firmsponsored seminars inhouse.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


  • The ability to produce highquality deliverables, excellent organizational and analytical skills, strong writing proficiency, and a demonstrated aptitude with relating biological data to broader ecological, restoration, or management issues.
  • The ability to work long hours in harsh conditions and be on the road for several days at a time while completing field data collection, data analysis, permitting and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of natural resource regulatory laws including Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and National Environmental Policy Act.
  • Knowledge of flora and fauna in southeastern U.S.
  • Experience with GIS software and GPS units and ability to use technology for data collection.
  • Ability to travel to a location, walk and conduct fieldwork for long hours, sometimes in inclement weather, rugged terrain, high heat and humidity, and the ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds is required.
  • Experience with ecological restoration, stream/wetland mitigation, or transportation projects is a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelors or master's degree in a related field, from an accredited university.
