    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Senior Revenue Analyst is responsible for the accuracy of the Windows 10 revenue recognition, including the establishment of initial and ongoing processes and procedures to appropriately account for any manual revenue adjustments over the life of the product. This position is also responsible for preparing or assisting in the preparation of the quarterly deferred revenue account reconciliations for Windows 10 and ensuring any inconsistencies are addressed in a timely manner to ensure proper revenue recognition. The role will encompass maintaining relationships with Product Management, Service Contracts, Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, and other internal Revenue and Finance teams in terms of managing day-to-day activities. The Senior Revenue Analyst will also assist with any process changes due to new accounting literature.

    KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
    • Gain and continue to maintain an understanding of the Windows 10 Offering and a good working relationship with the Product Management team.
    • Create and maintain a detail of sales orders for which manual intervention is required based upon contract terms (invoice timing or amount, period of revenue recognition or other nonstandard terms) and take these manual steps or record journal entries as needed to ensure customer facing documents and accounts records are accurate.
    • Create and maintain the processes and procedures for Revenue to appropriately account for the Windows 10 Offering and manage any manual intervention by ensuring completeness and accuracy of the data and quarterly revenue journal entry adjustments resulting from such manual intervention.
    • Ensure the Windows 10 short-term and long-term deferred revenue balances and unbilled revenue are appropriately classified on a quarterly basis.
    • Serve as a resource for account collectors for any Windows 10 invoicing or revenue questions or concerns.
    • Prepare the monthly deferred revenue account reconciliation for legacy Syteline data, as well as the quarterly deferred revenue reporting package, and identify and explain any inconsistencies.
    • Establish and maintain a strong relationship with the Booking Team and liaise with Sales, Deal Desk and Legal to ensure contracts are booked in accordance with the Company's Revenue Recognition Policy.
    • Review Domestic pricing supplements for accuracy and revenue recognition implications prior to contract signature and booking.
    • Review the Revenue Recognition and Order to Cash SOX documents and ensure compliance.
    • Prepare account reconciliations and provide explanations for any significant balance fluxes for the AR/Revenue reporting package.
    • Assist with review of Revenue Exception Requests submitted by Professional Services.
    • Develop a strong working relationship with and liaise with the Company's external auditors on revenue related requests.
    • Recommend new processes and procedures that utilize technology, build efficiencies, and streamline workflows.
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
    • 5+ years in an accounting role, revenue experience preferred
    Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
    • Knowledge and application of multiple element and software revenue recognition guidance, including ASC 606, ASC and ASC , a plus
    • Ability to work under pressure in a detailed oriented environment and possess the desire to learn new and challenging skills.
    • Organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • SAP experience a plus
