Quality Assurance Assistant
Diversified CPC International, Inc., an ISO 9000 Certified Company, has an immediate need for a
Quality Assurance Assistant.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality
- Responsible for completion of supplier quality questionnaire requests from our customers.
- Coordinate with QC and engineering department in standardizing the responses to supplier evaluation queries.
- Maintain and update SDS, product specification sheets for new products at DCPC.
- Learn functions of DEACOM tool and utilize it for maintaining quality control groups and bill of materials.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual quality department reporting.
- Assist with data collection for Quality Department at the request of the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Perform and carry out any administrative/clerical duties as deemed necessary by the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Learn functions of QMS Software.
- Assist in preparing reports, summarizing findings and recommending solutions to problems identified during audits or investigations.
- Providing feedback to management regarding improvements that can be made based on findings from audits or investigations.
- Continuously works towards learning all production processes in order to assist in providing recommendations to operations to improve quality.
- Assists with ensuring that the company's standards for quality are being followed by all employees.
- Records complaints or suggestions from customers or other stakeholders about products or services and assists with resolution.
- Assist all departments in ensuring that product meets industry standards, design specifications, and customer satisfaction measurements.
- Any other duties that may become necessary from time to time.
Lab
- Assists in ensuring all laboratory instruments used in Quality function are maintained and in good working condition.
- Operate analytical instrumentation such as Gas Chromatography, Electronic Hygrometer, Mercury and Sulfur Analyzer and Balances.
- Performs maintenance and calibration on all department equipment to ensure all instruments are operating accurately
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 2 or 4 year degree (preferred) with focus in Chemistry, Analytical, Quality or another related field
- High School Degree/GED plus 4 years of industrial experience required
- ISO quality program experience (preferred)
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to function well as part of a team
- Excellent writing and reading comprehension skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Manual dexterity and familiarity with quality testing tools and procedures
- Chemical background a plus, Aerosol background a plus, ASQ certification a plus.
- Good vision and hearing.
- Good eye/hand coordination
- Able to bend, stoop, climb, and maintain balance, ability to lift 15 pounds' dead weight.
- Good telephone communication skills.
- Good vision and hearing required. Advanced eye/hand coordination needed.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite or related software.
- Demonstrate ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision.
- Willing to travel to other Diversified CPC plants across USA to troubleshoot QCrelated issues when required.
