Job Summary

Responsibilities:


  • Be a Shady Creek wine expert
  • Present yourself in a mature and professional manner at all times
  • Accurately enter food and wine orders into POS system
  • Take food and wine orders from customers
  • Pour and serve wine
  • Answer questions about the food menu and preparation
  • Provide accurate orders to the kitchen staff
  • Sell wine club memberships
  • Assist in other areas whenever necessary

Qualifications:

At least one year of previous experience as a beverage or food server in an upscale environment:

  • Full weekend availability
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Valid state of Indiana alcohol server's permit
  • Ability to work in a very fastpaced environment
  • Familiarity with wine
  • Familiarity with POS systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Mature and professional disposition
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and carrying cases of wine
  • Familiarity with food safety guidelines
