    Description

    Manufacturing Associate* - Are you looking for a *new career*, potentially as a *mechanic*? _Founded in 1975, P&B Intermodal Services is a leading provider of container, chassis, spotter, lift equipment, trailer maintenance, and repair services.

    The company has been in the industry for over 40 years and proudly serves a number of Fortune 500 companies, including railroads, steamship lines, leasing companies, and trucking firms.

    Currently seeking to hire Chassis Repair Technicians. Applicants should possess strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Our maintenance program is customer-focused and equipment availability-driven.
    *The essential role of chassis repair technicians is to maintain, and repair trailers used for national and international shipping distribution. A chassis repair technician performs preventative and corrective maintenance when equipment is out of service or when stationary in the distribution yard.
    *Troubleshoot and repair all chassis/shipping containers/trailer defects.

    • air brake system, wheels end, and structural assemblies
    • Some welding and fabrication of chassis and shipping containers.
    • Use of mobile app to log work orders and document repairs.
    *Mechanical background.

    • Must be willing to work all shifts as required
    • Capable of lifting 50lbs with or without assistance
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Must have basic computer skills and comfortable working on a computer.
