    Do you have an interest in Robotics and Automation with a desire to work with your hands? If you have mechanical or electrical experience or a related degree and would like to get your foot in the door with technology, we have the role for you. We are a well-established Midwest firm that is growing rapidly and looking to add Robotic Field Service Technicians to our team. In this role youd be designing, installing, and troubleshooting automation systems. We provide full training and certifications If you would enjoy traveling around the U.S., working with autonomy, and having a chance to work with automation and robotics, we should talk.

    Our ideal candidate has at least a two-year technical degree and previous experience with mechanics or electronics. Travel for this role is up to 75% and all training is paid for and provided by our company. This is a full-time hourly role with wage dependent upon experience and overtime is available. **work remotely but MUST be near an airport**

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Installation and base level programming of new automation systems.
    • Support system installation, start-up, debug, and commissioning at vendor and/or client sites.
    • Installation, testing and commissioning of vision, camera and scanning systems for high-speed automation systems.
    • Creates training and system documentation, as needed.
    • Leads training sessions to educate clients on proper use and maintenance of systems.
    • Required to be technical resource assistance to Sales, Project Management, and Client Relations groups.
    • Provide remote support to clients and team members to troubleshoot system process problems.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Comfortable with Mechanical and Electrical assembly and troubleshooting.
    • Ability to read and follow AutoCAD drawings for system layouts, assembly, and troubleshooting.
    • Work independently at specific tasks and as a member of a team on larger tasks.
    • Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and a self-starter.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
    • Ability to work in a live production environment.

    Education and Experience:

    • Two-year technical degree, or other equivalent educational experience, is preferred.
    • At least three years of related experience is preferred but not required.
    • Training is provided by company.
    • Previous experience with mechanical and electrical systems is a plus.
    • Plc controls knowledge and experience.
    • Mechanical and electrical knowledgeof automation systems.
    • Experience automated vision systemsis preferred.
    • Robotics education and/or experience is a plus.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
    • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
    • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
