Description

Loeb House is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residence Counselor to join our team at our Treatment Apartment Program. We service adults living with behavioral health issues, including mental illness and/or chemical addiction.

As a Residence Counselor, you will be responsible for the supervision and safety of consumers, apartment management, providing and documenting weekly restorative services, meeting with treatment teams and other outside professionals, conducting medication counts and other paperwork as required.

We are seeking 4 Residence Counselors for the following shifts:

40 hrs./week Tuesday - Saturday 7 AM - 3 PM

40 hrs./week Sunday - Thursday 7 AM - 3 PM

40 hrs./week Tuesday - Saturday 1 PM - 9 PM

40 hrs./week Tuesday - Saturday 3 PM - 11 PM

Basic Job Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience with Mentally Ill individuals and/or Mentally Ill individuals with addictions required. Valid, clean NY driver's license required. This position requires travel throughout Rockland County to various buildings and apartments. Must be able to climb stairs.

Must possess intermediate computer knowledge and skills, and be an effective communicator with the ability to create new relationships with recipients, landlords and outside professionals.
