Caretaker / Janitor (m/f/d) at Corning

Your responsibilities:

  • Providing caretaker services for all liturgical celebrations (services, baptisms, weddings, funerals, devotions, etc.)
  • Maintenance and cleaning of the church, sacristy, and gallery, as well as care for the inventory
  • Care of liturgical garments and equipment
  • Maintenance of the display case
  • Supervision of altar servers
  • Opening and closing of the church
  • Monitoring the structural condition of the church
  • Operation of technical equipment
  • Running errands and performing tasks as needed
  • Occasional assistance in other parishes within the association
  • Janitorial duties in the church, parish hall, and parish grounds

We expect:

  • Completed training in a trade
  • Interest and sensitivity for liturgy
  • Flexibility, especially on Sundays and holidays
  • Willingness to assist and provide transportation within the parish association
  • Independent and conscientious organization of work
  • Teamwork, openness, discretion
