  • The Community Outreach Coordinator at The Healing Place of New Hanover County (THPNC) will play a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing relationships within the community.
  • The primary focus of this role is to raise awareness of THPNC's mission and services, build strategic partnerships, support events, and engage with various stakeholders to support the organization's goals of providing recovery-focused assistance to the underserved population in Southeastern NC.
  • Assist in supporting community events, outreach activities, and networking opportunities to promote THPNC's mission and enhance its visibility.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development and other staff members to identify funding opportunities and support grant applications by providing community outreach data and insights.
  • Conduct presentations and educational sessions to raise awareness about THPNC's services, substance use disorder, recovery resources, and the importance of community support.
  • Stay informed about local trends, developments, and initiatives related to substance use disorder, mental health, and social services to inform THPNC's outreach strategies.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder, mental health, and recovery support services.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement outreach strategies, including event planning and coordination.
