Description
Supervise the day-to-day maintenance and operation activities across all depot, mobile and road service operations.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Operations for CSS for all Depot, Mobile Service and Road Service operations.
  • Monitor and control existing operations and the expansion of new markets.
  • Review facility and regional production to meet and succeed goals for success.
  • Manage and assist in recruiting and building successful teams across the expansion.
  • Conduct and travel to CSS locations to review operations and maintain solid operations.
  • Provide detailed written reports of any problems to the Manager.
  • Ensure DCLI inspection/repair standards are communicated to vendors and adhered to on all equipment repairs.
  • Maintain proper inventory of CSS parts and equipment.
  • Work with operations as necessary to improve production.
  • Monitor and control spare parts inventory levels of DCLI owned parts.
  • Respond to all correspondence ASAP, no later than one working day.
  • Review work order input in M&R system on a daily basis and transmit work orders daily.
  • Discuss and resolve work order input discrepancy with M&R vendors.
  • Oversee and perform monthly safety reviews.
  • Conduct shop site audits for all responsible locations.
  • Review M&R system reports as needed; build a facility report card, duplicate code and duplicate work order reports.
  • Generate information for third party billing/damage recovery at all locations.
  • Track and order license plates for chassis.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels of DCLI equipment and tires.
  • Perform safety audits and inspection audits on our employees for quality control and proper work safety.
  • Maintain DCLI safety stocks at all applicable locations.
  • Negotiate labor rate increases with vendors.
  • Set up new shops when necessary.
  • Work with road service team to set up vendors in high volume locations to save on cost.
  • Visit each facility in your area of responsibility at a minimum quarterly.
  • Work with commercial team to fulfill net leases and terminations of net leases.
  • Attend sales calls when requested by commercial team.
  • Assist managers with month end accruals.
  • Monitor all modification campaigns and ensure vendors carry them out as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proven Manager with 510 plus years' experience in Intermodal or fleet maintenance.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A great understanding of FMCSA regulations.
  • Previous experience maintaining an annual budget.
  • Ability to maintain and build a solid working environment.
  • Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screening.
