Job Duties:
Under the supervision of leadership, this position performs essential administrative tasks such as: document writing and editing, electronic filing, administering a shared calendar and senior managements' calendars, assisting the Project Manager and Director of Operations with a variety of documents, assisting with scoping projects, learning to establish project budgets and schedules, learning to track project schedules, learning to prepare and delivering presentations, working as part of a diverse team on project tasks big and small, utilizing basic planning and time management skills, seeking and receiving information from clients, including taking notes at meetings, presenting project information to company peers (co-workers) and leadership, as well as clients and the public.
This position is intended as an entry level position for individuals who have some administrative skills and a strong desire to learn project management and/or policy analysis skills.

At NRS, no two projects are ever the same and you will not be bored. The projects we complete make a difference in the communities we serve.This position is advertised for our Austin, Texas Office.
There will be occasional travel (not typically overnight) to our other office location in Gatesville, Texas and to meet with clients at various Texas locations.
Work is performed in a typical office setting, and you must be commute-ready, as this is NOT a remote job or a hybrid job opportunity.
Work hours are typically in the Austin Office from 8 AM - 5 PM Monday through Friday.
NRS offers a competitive employment package with
a salary range of $35,000 - $40,000 per year (depending on experience) with generous time off (PTO) and observance of common holidays.
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
Ability to learn new technology and new skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Writing and editing skills
Strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Ability to facilitate and participate on project teams on multiple projects via Zoom, in person, etc.
Ability to synthesize and explain information, verbally or in written documents
Ability to track and meet deadlines
Ability to note and track action items and issues resulting from meetings, calls, etc.
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in communication, business, natural resource field, or a related field is strongly recommended.
