The primary responsibility of the Sales Consultant is to sell product within a designated territory in Wisconsin.

This position holder is responsible to meet or exceed targeted company goals while practicing good product quality assurance control and exceptional retail account service.


To perform these duties requires a high level of judgment, decision-making and knowledge of Company products, pricing and marketing techniques, enabling them to work independently.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Consistently promote the sale of company products through personal selling efforts and regular contact with your accounts.
  • Conduct a sales call on all assigned accounts on the proper day and in the established sequence.
  • Consistently pursue new product placements within your account base by making calls on new accounts within your area and establishing a working relationship with them.
  • Consistently work to improve profitability through product pricing and monitor product pricing to ensure parity between competitive products.
  • Consistently secure primary locations within accounts to create product displays and recommend displays to retailers that will improve the visibility and sales of company products.
  • Ensure all displays within your accounts include the applicable POS
  • Merchandise the complete product line in accounts including filling shelves and displays.
  • Plan and coordinate on/off premise promotions within accounts.
  • Delivery of product upon requests of office or management.
  • Collection of cash/checks for current and delinquent accounts.
  • Efficiently and correctly complete all necessary paperwork.

Requirements:


Education:

Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) or six months to one year of related work experience.


Knowledge:

The position holder must possess basic knowledge in sales presentations, business trends analysis, store merchandising and shelf management.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully an individual should have average knowledge of internet and processing software.


Other Requirements:

Maintain a valid WI Driver License. Ability to meet the Company's liability insurance requirements.
