Position:
Research Technical Assistant
Type:
Part-time (24 hours/week, 3 days/week)
Responsibilities:
Laboratory Work:
Assist in conducting routine experimental procedures in cardiovascular research, including but not limited to, sample preparation, histology, cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and data collection
Animal Colony Maintenance:
Maintain and manage the laboratory's animal colonies, including feeding, housing, monitoring health status, and assisting in the breeding and genotyping of experimental animals.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure laboratory equipment is well-maintained and calibrated and assist in organizing lab spaces and materials for efficient workflow.
Data Entry and Analysis:
Record experimental results accurately, maintain research databases, and assist in basic data analysis under the supervision of senior researchers.
Compliance:
Follow all laboratory protocols, including biosafety and ethical guidelines, in conducting research and managing animal colonies.

Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
Basic laboratory skills including pipetting, microscopy, and knowledge of laboratory safety protocols. Experience in maintaining animal colonies is highly desirable.
Time Management:
Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple assignments within the 24-hour work week.
Communication:
Strong communication skills to report findings and collaborate with lab members effectively.
