The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to become even better with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3-year apprenticeship as a Track Builder / Civil Engineering Specialist (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at our location in Wittenberg (Lutherstadt).

The vocational school and training center are located in Magdeburg, with the training workshop in Königsborn near Magdeburg. If certain requirements are met, we will support you with longer travel distances (e.g. financially).

What to expect in your apprenticeship:

  • You will work with your team on construction sites, maintaining our railway tracks
  • Together, you will work on tracks and switches, inspecting for any faults and replacing damaged parts
  • You will renew the stones and gravel layers under the tracks, with the help of modern machinery
  • You will ensure precise measurements to prevent any shaking during train rides
  • After your apprenticeship, you will be an essential part of the team, responsible for ensuring the safe and smooth journey of all passengers to their destination

Your profile:

  • You have (or will soon have) successfully completed school
  • Office work is not for you you prefer to work outdoors
  • You are dedicated and reliable
  • You enjoy working in a team and are willing to lend a hand
