    Associate Director, Healthcare Management Program (PT) Asst./ Assoc. Professor of Healthcare Management or a related field

    Maria College is a private Catholic institution founded by the Sisters of Mercy on the principle of service to others as a key feature of the works of mercy.

    Maria provides student-focused opportunity education and seeks an experienced educator to serve as a P/T Associate Director of the HealthCare Management Program at the rank of Asst.

    /Assoc Professor

    Maria College's mission of academic excellence and the heritage of the founding Sisters of Mercy support an ongoing commitment to preparing skilled, caring professionals to meet the needs of our time.

    The Associate Director reports to the Program Director and collaborates with other faculty in the Department of Arts and Sciences and other educators and staff across the college.

    The Associate Director promotes and supports Maria's positive student-focused culture of academic excellence and inclusivity.
    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and teach major courses in the Healthcare Management Program (i.e., teaching 6-9 instructional contact hours per semester)
    • Provide academic advisement to students
    • Develop and use sound and varied means/measures to assess student learning outcomes in collaboration with the Program Director
    • Create a culture that encourages student expression of ideas
    • Provide academic advisement to students
    • Develop and participate in student orientation as scheduled
    • Participate in prospective and new student events as scheduled
    • Collaborate with staff in Student Services to connect students with necessary resources
    • Serve on College committees
    • Supervise and evaluate students in practical settings
    • Engage in professional development and scholarship
    • Other duties as assigned and aligned with the faculty handbook

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Master's Degree in a field related to health and healthcare from an accredited institution
    • Experience teaching undergraduate students preferred.
    • Experience supervising students in practical settings
    • Experience in healthcare preferred
