    CMT is seeking a Financial Records Assistant

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Verify data on transaction documents by checking authorizations and account codes, calculating subtotals, totals, discounts and percentages and initiate payment actions.
    • Enter data from transaction documents into automated or manual accounting records.
    • Update, edit and correct computerized data files and produce computer printouts.
    • Reconcile account records.
    • Compile data from account records to prepare summaries, lists and similar reports.
    • Maintain manual and/or automated financial, accounting, personnel and other administrative and management files and records.

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma/GED supplemented by college level courses, experience or training in bookkeeping, accounting, business or related field.
    • The equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
    • One-year related work experience.
    • Knowledge of office procedures and practices as applied to the provision of general office services.
    • Familiarity with bookkeeping and financial practices.
    • Knowledge of business English, spelling, grammar and conventional styles and formats used in office communications.
    • Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship.

    Skills


    -Excellent communication skills
    - Assists Financial Analyst with daily functions related to the division
    - Reviews and organizes financial documents
    - Query's Banner and Workday databases.
    - Performs data entry.
    - Scans and files documents accordingly
    - Prepares records for archiving

    PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

    • Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.

    WORKING HOURS

    • A 40-hour work week is scheduled (8 hours/day; five days per week). Hybrid Schedule
    • 8:30-5:00pm
