Job Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Take new loss reports from customers via telephone for all lines of business.
  • Verify/analyze coverage and determines course of action.
  • Triage the claims to provide exceptional service.
  • Direct customer to access program, approved car rental vendor and/or process immediate removal of total loss to salvage yard.
  • Assign claims to appropriate claims handler.
  • Enter faxed claims into our automated systems.
  • Handle incoming calls and correspondence from Insured's, Claimants, and Agents regarding questions or problems associated with claims.
  • Service inquiry calls from customers.
  • Document claims files and maintain control of work through documentation or diary system.
  • Update MCS on a continual basis to accurately reflect current activity on a file.
  • Must be able to drive an automobile to travel within territory. Car travel represents approximately 010% of employee's time and a valid driver's license.

Knowledge & Education:


  • High School degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 12 years customer service experience in a call center.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • 12 years previous administrative support experience preferred.
  • Must have valid stateissued driver's license in good standing and be able to drive an automobile.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $37,000 - $56,000.

The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint.
