  • EmailDescription seeks an experienced and dedicated Project Manager II to join our Southern California region in the Long Beach area and build a long-term career at one of the most innovative and growth-oriented Construction Services companies in the United States. Duties and Responsibilities Providing PM/CM professional services on a (DSA) Higher Education / Community College or k-12 program or projectEnsures operations are executed in accordance with company project management procedures and policiesensures delivery and adherence to contractual requirements and that all aspects of owner contracts are accomplishedManage the procurement phase and development of RFQs and RFPsOversight of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to project requirementsCoordinate, direct, and monitor activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entitiesManage project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the clientIdentifies and manages risk on the project, and advises and confers with regional executive prior to implementing risk mitigation actionsActively participates on internal teams that focus on continuous improvement of the companyEnsures workplace health and safety policies and procedures are clearly communicated and understood by direct reports and enforces rules fairly and uniformly
    • Requirements

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline is preferred
  • 10 or more years of experience in the Design/Engineering/Construction (DEC) industry of which 5+ years as a Project or Construction Manager is required
  • Experience in the Education/Division of State Architect (DSA) market is required
  • Experience with an Integrated Project Delivery method such as Design-Build as well as traditional Design Bid-build method is preferred

    • Knowledge and Skills

  • Effective presentation skills, ability to develop and deliver presentations to the end users, stakeholders, board of education is required
  • Proficient user skills with the MS Suite of tools and Bluebeam are required
  • Working knowledge of P6 and Procore is strongly preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to foster and maintain interpersonal relationships is required

    • Work Environment

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work in an office, an office trailer, and/or in a construction jobsite environment. Conditions regularly include exposure to outdoor elements, hot/cold temperatures, wet conditions, noise, atmospheric conditions, and cramped quarters. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

    Physical Requirements

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly sit, stand, walk, talk or hear and use hands to finger, feel and handle; frequently reach with hands and arms; occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must frequently lift and or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.

    Travel Requirements

    This position is site specific and will be executed at the project location in Long Beach, CA.

    The annual base salary range for this role is currently $125,000 - $150,000. The Company's salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of various factors, including job-related skills, relevant education and experience, abilities of the applicant and equity with other team members. The annual base salary range listed here is subject to change at any time, in the Company's discretion, and does not alter in any way the at-will nature of the employment relationship.
