- Follow GMP's
- Report food safety and quality concerns to QC, Operator and/or Processing manager
- Follow instructions from processing manager
- Fill the customers' orders as they have sent them.
- Ensure that date codes match what is ordered.
- Ensure that orders are completed by the scheduled pickup date.
- Communicate with the customer about any problems or shortages with the orders.
- Print the case labels for the orders
- Ensure that the case labels match any information on the carton date code.
- Keep the grader running.
- Try to minimize stoppage when possible.
- Communicate with maintenance any problems with equipment.
- Record problems in the Issues database.
- Communicate with the packers and case stackers about the orders to fix any problems.
- Keep records of:
- Perform egg inventory counts
- Keep a clean station.
- Place garbage into garbage cans.
- Keep floor clean of broken eggs.
- Re-bag unused cartons
- Aid packing personnel in packing eggs whenever possible
- Other tasks assigned as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior packing experience preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Remain focused to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Conscious of surroundings at all times
- Able to follow instructions closely and multi-task
- Environment: plant/processing
- Exposures encountered: hazardous materials, loud noise, moving parts
- Essential physical requirements: walking, standing, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Physical effort/lifting: medium – up to 35 pounds
- Daytime, Weekdays, weekends, Holidays
