In this role, the Furnace Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Melting Furnace and associated equipment.
This includes dry cleaning, charging, skimming, sampling, temperature control, alloying, and transfer of molten metal to the holding furnace.What you'll get:
$1,000 Sign on bonus Pay: $19 - $23/Hr. *Based on Experience
What you'll do:
Strict adherence to safe charging practices Capable of safety operating heavy equipment such front end loader, combi lift etc.
Organization and housekeeping of the furnace and scrap storage areas, cleaning and basic maintenance of related equipment (charge car, skim car, forklift, etc.) Control of the melting furnace and related equipment Preheater operation Record and maintain pertinent production data in an accurate manner.
