What IT specialists do

IT specialists configure hardware, operating systems, and networks. They create IT documentation and provide user support. Server administration and installation are also part of an IT specialist's responsibilities.

How the training works

The training to become an IT specialist lasts three years and is done in cooperation with Gewerbliche Schule Göppingen. As an apprentice, you will spend three days every two weeks at the vocational school, and the rest of the time you will be at our clinic, applying the knowledge you have learned.

During practical placements at ALB FILS KLINIKEN at the Klinik am Eichert location in Göppingen, you will get to know different areas of work and take on concrete and responsible tasks. The placements will alternate between IT support and system technology.

In the middle of the second year of training, our apprentices take a written interim exam. This allows any deficiencies in the training to be identified and addressed before the final exam. At the end of the three-year training, there will be a written exam and a project work including documentation and presentation.
