Our client, a restaurant, bar and lounge in NYC is looking to hire an experienced part-time Bookkeeper (CPA PREFERRED). The position is on site and part-time.

We are flexible with days of the week and hours worked, will work with the right person to make it a good fit for their schedule.

The Bookkeeper supports the CEO in performing a variety of general accounting and finance support tasks.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Code documents according to company procedures.
• Calculate and prepare checks for utilities, taxes, and other payments.
• Reconcile bank statements, reviewing and tracking all written checks and deposits, and reporting all findings to CEO.
• Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork.
• Create and send polished communications to internal and external parties, both electronically and through paper correspondence.
• Open, read, route, and distribute incoming mail or other materials and answer routine letters.
• Conduct searches to find needed information
• Produce various reports as requested

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or a related field

Experience:

• 3-5 years' bookkeeping experience (hospitality industry preferred)
