Plaintiff Law firm in Miami seeking litigation scheduling assistant with at least 1 year of experience. Assistant must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe. This role will work closely with a Lead Attorney on work pertaining to scheduling client's needs pertaining to active cases in our First Party Department


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Heavy scheduling of mediation and depositions
  • Sending and tracking letters to clients
  • Organizing notices and letters for depositions and/or mediations
  • Calling clients to confirm appointments
  • Assist with other tasks as requested by the attorney or case staff
  • Compose letters, pleadings, motions
- filing motions for extension of time if required

  • Calendar and meet deadlines
  • Duties include but are not limited to, document processing; court filing; preparation of general pleadings, notices, subpoenas, correspondence and hearing and trial exhibits; assisting attorneys with hearing and trial preparation
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • One (min) years related experience or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent grammatical and spelling skills.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong organizational, problemsolving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English & Spanish.

Pay:
From $50,000.00 per year
