Cadence Inc., located in Cranston, Rhode Island is currently hiring for a
Process Lead in our
CNC Sharpening Cell on 1st Shift (typical hours are 7 AM - 3 PM Monday-Friday + Necessary Overtime).
This position will serve as a working lead for the department/shift assigned, and will serve as a primary technical resource for the area and help bring about the smooth flow of product through the operation.

Process Lead Requirements (the qualifications that the hiring manager will be considering when reviewing applicants for the Process Lead opening):
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
- Expert knowledge/understanding of programming languages
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and standards
- Advanced knowledge of software such as CADCAM
- Assists in the scheduling and expediting of jobs across various machines for the best efficiency and utilization of equipment/employees
- Aid in training new employees and ongoing training of all employees in the area
- Advise management on the best course of action with regard to quality issues and problem resolution
- Aid in the coordination and implementation of employee improvement ideas
- Solve day to day production problems, by utilizing all of Cadence's resources (such as maintenance, engineering, etc. as appropriate)
- May complete first piece inspections.
- Performs other duties as assigned by current role
Mechanical Ability:
- Expertlevel mechanical aptitude, including expert CNC/Machining knowledge
- Ability to set up the most complex equipment in the CNC Sharpening cell
- Ability to edit programs as needed to run the machine
- Ability to monitor multiple machines at the same time
- Expertlevel troubleshooting skills and development skills
Quality Level:
- Expertlevel measurement skills and ability to interpret results
- Ability to produce parts at nominal
- Ability to measure, cut, or work on items with the highest level of accuracy
Cultural/Communication/Leadership
- Excellent communication skills
- Serves as technical expert to engineering staff, production planning, and other team members
- Consistently demonstrates teamwork and cultural values
- Leads by example at all times and exudes a positive attitude, even during difficult situations
- May serve in the role of a trainer or process lead
