    School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Portland, OR School Year)

    We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the school year. The SLP will play a crucial role in supporting the communication needs of our diverse student population, collaborating with educators, families, and community partners to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment results and student needs.
    • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, both individually and in group settings.
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to integrate speech and language goals into the curriculum.
    • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to maximize outcomes.
    • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing support and resources to promote carryover of skills at home.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, and other collaborative activities as required.
    • Stay current on best practices, research, and developments in the field of speech-language pathology.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
    • Oregon state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
    • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and community partners.
    • Commitment to cultural competency and equity, with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
