Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Front Desk Agent to join our team.

The objective of Front Desk Agent is to provide information and assistance to all guests and visitors and to offer guest service according to The Marmara Park Avenue standards to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality.

Maintain guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel by responding promptly to guest needs.


Responsibilities:


  • Carry out systematic checks of all Front of House areas for maintenance requirements, repairs or refurbishing, ensuring that these are acted on without delay.
  • Make suggestions for improvements in overall operations with an emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction and revenues as well as reducing costs.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Ensure maximum security in all areas under control.
  • Ensure that all Front of House areas are always clean and orderly.
  • Ensure the staff maintains a professional, highquality service oriented and a warm and friendly environment at all times and they are readily available to deal with all guests' problems or complaints.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and serviceoriented manner.
  • Respond to and act on guests' complaints and follow ups to ensure guest satisfaction
- keeping all related departments informed.

  • Ensure that all guests
  • VIP guests and repeat guests are identified, recognized, and welcomed and checked into rooms promptly and courteously.
  • Check guest accommodation, making sure any special requests are carried out accordingly, greet guests upon arrival and ensure escort to accommodations if appropriate.
  • Review arrivals and departures and make sure all the data is correct in Opera and review guest preferences that have been taken care of to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Review and follow up and analyze the input of required information into various systems including but not limited to: HOTSOS, Opera, Revinate and other systems & logs.
  • Ensure that checkin procedures are strictly adhered to and that the correct guest information such as address, and payment information is obtained from each guest.
  • Work with Sales & Accounting departments to ensure that longterm and group accounts are in good standing.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to Director of Operations.
  • Monitors availability and occupancy daily and constantly communicates with Reservations and or Revenue manager to resolve any challenging issues.
  • Ensure the proper image is being maintained by all Team Members with respect to grooming and uniform standards which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • Front Desk staff follows proper financial control procedures for cash, paid out vouchers, inventories and receivables.
  • Be aware of PCI compliancy.
  • Compile and review the accuracy of the audit reports and journals from Opera.
  • Verify additional revenues with night audit.
  • Review high balance report and work closely with reservations & AR to take appropriate action to resolve all problems.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in guest relations, hospitality, or customer service preferred
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and reservation systems is a plus

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
