The toolmaker ensures the perfect shape in our companyHave you ever wondered who is responsible for making sure that production at Nemak can even start? As a tool mechanic, you are responsible for keeping our sand casting molds in perfect condition and repairing them when needed.
You work with precision down to the thousandth of a millimeter and, together with your colleagues in a small team, you always ensure a consistently high quality of our products.
RequirementsCuriosity and interest in technology are required for the training as a tool mechanic. With your secondary school leaving certificate and good grades in mathematics and physics, you are well qualified.
You should have manual dexterity and be able to quickly grasp technical connections. You should also be able to imagine working in a team.
Training process
In the first months of training, you will learn manual material processing. This will be followed by training in machine processing such as turning, milling, etc.
Through interesting project work, you can deepen and solidify the acquired knowledge. Pneumatics courses, among others, are also part of your training program.
"Apprentice mentors" will accompany you on assignments in our specialist departments, where you will participate in troubleshooting our production systems and gain insights into the everyday work of an industrial mechanic.
