    SLR International Corporation is seeking a Staff-level Geologist or Environmental Engineer with 0 to 3 years of experience to join our Denver, Colorado operations.

    Preferable candidates will have a strong, relevant academic or employment background and a passion for environmental consulting work.

    The candidate selected for this role will work within our Water & Wastewater Group, assisting with a variety of functions related to wastewater permitting and treatment engineering.

    Job Description

    Required Technical Skills and Experience

    Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering or related scientific field
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Strong analytical skills, organizational, and multitasking skills
    Ability to solve basic calculations and unit conversions
    Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel)
    Experience with AutoCAD or GIS
    Willing to commit to field assignments of up to two weeks away from Denver
    Possess valid driver's license
    Preferred Technical Skills and Experience

    Groundwater, surface water, and soil sampling experience
    Experience presenting analytical results in tabular and graphical forms
    OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
    Understanding of civil construction and industrial operations, including associated equipment, large and small
    Knowledge of chemistry and analytical methods for testing soil, water, or waste
    Personal Attributes and Traits

    Self-motivated and detail oriented

    Ability to effectively prioritize work and contribute to project teams

    Key Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities

    Work with clients from a variety of industries or agencies
    Collect groundwater and surface water samples
    Field support for air quality permitting compliance
    Support preparation of technical plans and reports
    Review State, Federal, and Local regulations for applicability to project
    Assist other SLR teams with work in a variety of disciplines including air monitoring, waste management, permitting, and compliance
    Travel to clients' facilities as needed
    Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments
