Responsibilities:


  • Teach Primary (K2) & Mid-Level (3rd5th grade) Music
  • Teach Junior High (6th8th grade) Music/Band/Choir
  • Teach High School (9th12th grade) Music/Band/Choir
  • Perform rotating lunch duty and playground monitoring as needed
  • Encourage a positive learning environment for all children
  • Collaborate with other passionate teachers to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Respect and observe children's interests
  • Encourage and model social behavior and expectations which are developmentally appropriate
  • Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance (8:00am3:30pm M-F)
  • Attend a summer inservice and weekly staff meetings
  • Attend major community events

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a school environment or with children
  • High level of flexibility
  • Excellent leadership, human relations, and interpersonal skills
  • Selfstarter, wellorganized, and a team player

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education
  • Current AZ Teaching Certificate

$38,500.00 per year
