Job Description Summary

This postdoctoral fellow position will focus on developing, fabricating, and testing scaled-up, high-permeance membranes building upon promising dense film results for H2-stable, Ag+-based olefin-paraffin separation membranes.

The project will involve, for example, characterizing gas permeability and selectivity under both ideal and realistic mixed-gas conditions and evaluating effect of plasticizers on gas separation performance.

The project will also involve optimizing coated hollow fiber thin film composite (TFC) preparation to produce reproducible, low-strikethrough, and defect-free TFC membranes which achieve the selectivity values observed in dense films and suitably high permeance.
