    About the Role

    In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating suite of applications that are focused on technology stacks brought to Hub International through Mergers & Acquisitions(M&A). This role focuses on migrating software solutions across a multi-cloud and on-premises environments that enhances the efficiency, security, and reliability of processes within the enterprise, catering to user needs and ensuring seamless operation to business.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 5 years of application development experience using software life cycle.
    • 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
    • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
    • Fluency and experience in one or more of the following: Java, Ruby, or Python.
    • 3+ years experience in object-oriented design and development
    • 3+ years experience in distributed systems and web services design
    • Demonstrated familiarity with key programming languages and tools, with a preference for candidates experienced in using Jira and GitLab
    • Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker, Ansible and/or equivalent in Azure Cloud services.
    • Software Development and System Integration: Possess extensive experience in developing, operating, integrating, testing, and maintaining sophisticated software systems and platforms, with a focus on DevSecOps tools.
    • Strong knowledge of web application development, including both front-end and back-end (full-stack) development, utilizing containerized applications and microservices architecture.
    • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
    • CI/CD deployment pipelines: Jenkins, TravisCI, Gitlab CI, AWS Code Pipeline, Azure DevOps
    • Version control and git workflows
    • Overall understanding of integrations; data and systems
    • Experience with planning and forecasting work and projects.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment and show initiative to take on responsibilities.
    • Decision making, research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Time management with the ability to organize, assess, and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills
    • Able to work harmoniously and effectively with others.
    • Ability to adapt to quickly changing business conditions.
    • Able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities.
    • Familiar with solutions hosted in the cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.)
    • Willingness to grow and share his/her knowledge with others on the team.
    • Good understanding of SDLC; development and testing methodologies

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

    Although hybrid to Chicago is preferred, this position is open to remote candidates.

    Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $120K to $130K and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific positions business line, scope and level.
