Responsibilities:

Billing Specialist Job Summary:

Verifying benefit coordination
Understanding authorization processes and procedures
Clean claim submissions
Reconciling insurance EOB's and patient accounts
Defining and resolving centralized billing issues
Monitors and maintains accurate aging reports to ensure timely collections
Identifies and researches issues related to unpaid or rejected claims
Interacts with third party payers, patients or clients to resolve outstanding claim issues
Answers calls/questions from patients, third party payers, clients and coworkers in a timely and professional manner
Identifies, researches and reports status of delinquent or overpaid accounts

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED required.
Must have 1 years of previous medical billing, coding experience.
MS Office, basic office support skills (telephone, filing, data entry) and basic math skills.
