Position Description:


As a Sales Development Representative and Operations at ShipIn Systems, you will play a vital role in driving the growth and success of our visual fleet management platform, and contribute to maintaining scalabile processes.

You would work closely with the VP of Growth to build the sales pipeline, processes and data.


Your responsibility will be, from one hand, to generate qualified leads and create opportunities for our sales pipeline, and from the other hand, to take ownership on after-sales operations and data accuracy management and monitoring.

You will also collaborate with Customer Success and Finance teams to ensure smooth hand-over. Your efforts will contribute to increasing our market presence and expanding.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation:

Research and identify potential customers within the maritime industry who can benefit from ShipIn Systems' visual fleet management platform.

Utilize various sources and tools to gather contact information and build a robust pipeline of qualified leads.

  • Qualification and Discovery: Engage in meaningful conversations with potential customers to understand their needs, challenges, and requirements. Qualify leads based on established criteria and gather relevant information to facilitate a smooth handover to the sales team.
  • Sales Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales team to coordinate activities, share insights, and ensure a seamless transition of leads. Provide timely and accurate information to the sales team to support their efforts in closing deals.
  • Sales Support: Assist in creating sales materials, presentations, and proposals as needed. Stay updated on product features, industry trends, and competitive landscape to effectively communicate the value proposition of ShipIn Systems.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and uptodate records of prospect interactions, lead status, and sales activities using CRM software. Generate regular reports and provide insights to sales management to optimize strategies and tactics.
  • After Sales Operations: Manage the handover process from Sales team to Customer Success and Finance teams to ensure alignment
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry developments, maritime trends, and customer needs. Continuously enhance product knowledge and sales skills through training and selfdirected learning.

Qualifications / Experiences:


  • At least two year of experience as an SDR for a software company
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred but not mandatory. Relevant experience and a proven track record may be considered.
  • CRM Proficiency: Proven experience using HubSpot or Salesforce for lead management, data entry, and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to engage and build rapport with potential customers through various channels.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Sales Acumen: Basic understanding of sales principles and techniques. Ability to articulate value propositions and handle objections effectively.
  • Self-Motivated: Resultsdriven and proactive mindset. Ability to work independently and take initiative in generating leads and opportunities.
  • Persistence and Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude. Persistence in pursuing leads and overcoming obstacles.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a team environment. Willingness to support and assist colleagues when needed.
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM software and other sales tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.
