Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the daytoday functions of the accounting department with discretion and confidentiality.
- Guarantee the punctual and meticulous preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain and watch over cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts to evaluate the company's financial health and recommend enhancements.
- Lead the coordination of the annual budgeting process, collaborating closely with executive heads to craft thorough budgets aligned with company objectives.
- Perform financial analyses, including variance analysis, costbenefit assessments, and trend evaluations, to identify opportunities for cost containment and revenue amplification.
- Remain informed about changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and optimize financial performance.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the accounting team, nurturing a culture of collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA and CPA designation preferred.
- Proven experience in a Controller or similar financial leadership role, ideally within the construction industry.
- Profound understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Exemplary analytical skills with the ability to confidentially interpret complex financial data and offer actionable insights.
- Proficiency in confidential financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a penchant for effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated confidential leadership prowess, with a track record of nurturing and cultivating highperforming teams.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
