    Join Our Team as a Medical Assistant at Maeville Pediatrics!

    Our office is expanding, and we are on the lookout for a dedicated medical assistant to join our team and play a vital role in providing superior patient care. As a medical assistant, you will collaborate closely with our healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate recording of patient histories, collecting test samples, monitoring vital signs, administering vaccines, conducting newborn screenings, and capillary blood draws. We are seeking an individual with a specialization in pediatrics, equipped with the ability to establish strong connections with patients.     Compensation:

    Hourly compensation

    Responsibilities:
    • Support healthcare staff during examinations by providing necessary medical tools and supplies to physicians, assisting in patient positioning, and aiding in various tasks as required
    • Welcome patients, manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and address inquiries related to treatments or medication refills to ensure a positive experience for each individual visiting our office
    • Measure and record vital signs such as pulse, body temperature, respiration rate, and blood pressure in patient records
    • Collect blood samples from patients and ensure timely delivery to the laboratory for testing
    • Prepare examination rooms for patient visits by stocking supplies, maintaining optimal room temperatures, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring a comfortable environment

    Prior experience in administering pediatric vaccines is preferred

    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program and supervised externship in a healthcare facility
    • Possession of Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or another recognized certifying body
    • Excellent communication skills and a strong focus on customer service
    • Minimum of one year of experience as a medical assistant handling administrative responsibilities or a similar role in a healthcare setting

    Previous experience in pediatrics and at least one year of administering vaccines desired
