Position Summary

Job Summary

  • The student intern supports the daily operations of the Student Financial Services office and performs special projects as needed. A flexible schedule is available, but the student employee's scheduled hours will be during normal office hours, 9:00am3:30pm Monday through Friday. This position is defined as a nonexempt position under FLSA regulations. Summer housing, through June, is included with this position. This position is defined as a nonexempt position under FLSA regulations.
    Specific Responsibilities
  • Filing
  • Communication campaigns creation & execution (virtual & physical mailings)
  • Data entry
  • Data analytics
  • Quality assurance
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Making calls to current and prospective students to complete requirements
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Staffing a reception area if a professional staff person is unavailable
  • Provide support to the University's financial literacy initiatives by assisting in the planning, design, and implementation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Familiarity with university and campus structure are preferred
  • The student should be an organized, creative, and collaborative selfstarter that exhibits attention to detail

Education

  • First Year, Sophomore, Junior, Senior. All Majors.
    Experience
  • No experience required.

    Additional Requirements
  • This position is paid $9.25 per hour, with an estimate of 1015 hours weekly.
