Job Overview:
Duties and Skills required for this position include:
Knowledge of Medicare, Worker's compensation, Motor Vehicle and New Jersey Private insurance reimbursement guidelines and billing procedures.
Proficiency with ICD10 and all Physical Therapy/Rehab codes.
Excellent customer service skills for communicating with patients and other medical providers.
Position Qualifications:
3-5 yrs. medical billing/collection experience in Physical Therapy, orthopedics, Chiropractic or a Rehab setting is preferred. Bookkeeping/General Accounting Experience a plus.
Collection Experience - Demonstrate High level of Insurance Knowledge and customer service skills to effectively implement all aspects of both Insurance and Client collections.
A strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task, will be working closely with one other in-house PT biller.
Professional attitude, detail oriented and very organized.
Must be able to work well independently as well as taking direction from other team members.
Advanced computer navigation skills with knowledge of Word and Excel.
Proficiency in Written and Verbal communication skills to maintain ongoing professional dialogue with insurance representatives, professional staff and clients.
