  • Working as a Family Engagement Advocate at Acelero Learning gives you the opportunity to give back to your local community by engaging and supporting the families and children in our program.
  • You will work as a team member whose primary role is to engage families to partner with us to promote children's healthy development and school readiness.

Responsibilities:


  • Engage families as partners in their children's healthy development and school readiness
  • Engage in a process of collaborative partnership building with families of children receiving (Early) Head Start services
  • Foster a sense of community and sense of belonging among families in order to strengthen social capital
  • Build relationships that will enhance communication and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders
  • Effectively manage workload and ensure accurate recordkeeping and documentation
  • Participates in assigned meetings, events, and training as required, with occasional travel locally or longdistance, up to 10% of the time, for workrelated meetings and functions.

Job Requirements:


  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a must.
  • An Associate's Degree in Social Work, Family and Child Development, or a related field is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Passion for promoting positive child and family outcomes through highquality family engagement.
  • Proficient in supporting parents of young children in advocating for their families and cultivating positive relationships with both families and children, utilizing experience, training, and skill.
  • Proficient ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, both verbally and in writing.

Additional Information:


  • This fulltime position hrs./week) has benefits and earns $22.51/hr. And requires to work onsite at 578 Livingston Ave, New Brunswick, NJ 08901

Pre Hire Requirements:


  • Two Valid IDs, Two Reference Letters, Physical exams and TB Tests, Fingerprint Screening (CHRI), and Background Checks (CARI) are required for this position.
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Please note: All new hires must attend the four days (Tuesday
  • Friday) of mandatory New Employee Orientation Training at South Amboy Center 310 Augusta Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879
