The Role
GovExec is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our growing Sales Development team.

The Sales Development Team is leading the charge on growing data business across GovExec brands and designing communication strategies to qualify more customers.


As the Sales Development Representative, you will be accountable for qualifying inbound leads, outbound cold calling, networking, and other methods of producing interest from potential customers for GovTribe, a division of GovExec.

You will also collaborate with marketing, sales executives, and sales management to provide a high-quality experience for all prospects and help bolster interested organizations' ability to use GovTribe in their business.


Responsibilities

  • Promptly respond to potential sales inquiries generated through Marketing efforts
  • Work closely with Marketing team to take qualified leads and convert them to discovery calls
  • Partner with account executives to create customized territory plans
  • Identify organizations that fit the ideal customer profile and then research relevant contacts for outreach
  • Coordinate internal staff to ensure the right individuals are present to support a client conversation
  • Prepare team members for external meetings by providing relationship background and corporate news and profile
  • Record and maintain outreach records in CRM system and provide uptodate contact information and notes for leads and contacts
  • Track and report on individual progress to monthly and quarterly goals for initial sales meetings and pipeline sourced

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1+ years of SaaS sales development, business development, or inside sales experience
  • Experience working with CRM systems such as Hubspot or similar
  • Working knowledge of the lead generation process and implementation of those processed in a technology stack
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Impeccable time management and organizational skills
  • Collaborative spirit and resultsoriented
  • Hit individual goals while staying invested in the team's larger revenue success

The compensation range for this role is from $60,000 to $70,000 per year including commission potential.
